Professional Learning Series: Tardigrade Mission Design

During this workshop, we will investigate how space-like conditions impact the life and survival of tardigrades, or “water bears.” These amazing creatures can withstand extremely cold or hot temperatures and can also survive radiation and lack of water. Understanding how tardigrades endure space conditions have the potential to enhance studies on human limits in space travel and survival in space.
